If your days have become consumed with peanut butter sandwiches and carpool issues you’ve got to take some time out. If you think you can manage, set your Home security system, put your mind at ease and take a Mom’s Retreat with one of your girlfriends or even alone to one of the following relaxing locations
Sedona, AZ – Arizona has some really great restorative spas and Sedona is a healing place all on its own. Spend your week hiking, eating right and even doing yoga and return to your home rested and refreshed – ready to be a mom again.
Amelia Island, FL – There’s nothing more calming than a week by the surf and Amelia offers the perfect balance of rest and activities. It’s somewhat luxury but you can stay on the cheap and eat at casual spots as well.
New York City – Maybe you don’t need rest, maybe you need to come alive again! If so, grab a girlfriend or two and play for a weekend in the city. Take in a show, eat somewhere fancy and really let yourself go wildwithin reason. Some activity will make home feel less boring.

What kind of social media is right for you? There are many different social networks online to choose from. The question is which one to choose. The best way to choose the right one for you is to talk to people you know, and find out which one they are using; and then go online and check out that network to see if it is what you want to use to keep you connected to your friends or family. Social networks can help you connect to people from your past as well as find new friends. You can chat with them when you are lonely or bored. You can keep up with current events. They even allow you to post pictures so you can see new babies or how much a friend has changed in looks over the years. The social networks brings the past into the present by allowing you to be able to reconnect with the world around you. It is a great tool for stay at home moms who can’t get out every day to see people. They can still feel like they are a part of the social world by being able to stay in touch. The information party rocks on: Facebook Timeline lets you see who has unfriended you

For busy moms, preparing dinner can be quite the challenge. It only takes a little bit of planning for busy moms to plan easy and nutritious meals. Meal planning allows busy moms to provide nutritious and delicious meals without having to sacrifice precious time. One way to plan your meals is to prepare and freeze meals ahead of time. Simple ingredients such as chicken, rice, and a vegetable can make a delicious casserole. Cooking a whole chicken will allow you to prepare several meals that can easily be frozen. If you don’t have time to cook the chicken you can use a slow cooker or crock pot to slow cook it.

A slow cooker is another way for busy moms to prepare dinner. If you don’t have time to prepare and freeze your meals ahead of time, you can always use a slow cooker to cook your meals while you are away from home. There are a variety of slow cooker recipes that will help you cook dinner while maintaining your busy schedule as a mom. Easy ingredients, such as noodles, a meat, and a vegetable can be turned into a delicious meal with the help of a slow cooker.

Although buying fast food is a cheap fix, making dinner for the family is a better option. Plus making the food means knowing what went in it and it is far cheaper and healthier than hitting the drive-through.
The first thing to do is to plan ahead. Pick some meals that are fairly easy to make such as casseroles, soups, chili, even tacos and pick a day to serve them.
A slow cooker is the best option when preparing meals to cook and leave. It’s really simple, just throw in some meat, add a few cans of sauce or vegetables, turn the dial on the slow cooker to low and let the whole thing cook over night, or put it on high and let it cook while at work and the kids are at school.
A real time saver is to cook a large amount of ground beef in the crock-pot or slow cooker. Just buy a few pounds of ground beef and put in the pot and turn on high and keep mixing every five minutes. Once all the meat is cooked, divide it up and use for later recipes such as chili or spaghetti, or tacos. Eat up!

Stay at home moms sacrifice a lot do do what they love. Obviously, they love staying with their kids, or they would not be doing it. There are days that every mother wonders whether she is doing the right thing. Perhaps the kid’s games are wearing on her last nerve. Where is that nerve anyway. What some moms need is a good tickle of the funny bone. How can a mom plan time to simply watch a funny movie, when her kids are constantly needing her attention? The answer lies in finding a workable home balance. If you think about it, we all need this harmony flow.
Businesses know the formula. They give their employees breaks. In reality, a work at home mom is running a business. The great thing is, mom is the boss. That said, learn to schedule in needed break times throughout the day. Have a quiet time where younger children nap or play quiet games. There needs to be rules to this, just as there are at a workplace. The children need to recognize the importance of mom time. Enforce the rules gently but firmly. It helps to be consistent. Make these times fun for all.

Deciding to stay at home does not mean a mother has to give up all social outlets. Most health experts would advise against isolating oneself. Regardless of the resolve, often, stay at home moms lose contact with their outside social network. Their home, though loud and busy, often feels like a cave, or a deserted island. Real civilization is somewhere outside. With today’s technology, busy moms can still remain in touch with friends and family. Many people have caught on to the online social network craze. They are not just for college kids anymore. What is great about these outlets, is that a person can work it into their schedule. Unlike a phone call, people can log on whenever they want. There are places to leave messages, and people can even share pictures. Many moms get a group together and go online at a specific time each day. This makes the sharing time more interactive. It is also important to have face to face adult time. These times should be scheduled in advance if possible. Have a girl’s night out every so often. It may take some planning and cost a little. Getting away will bring a mom back refreshed!

When you are a stay-at-home mom, you may feel disconnected from other people. Most of your day revolves around caring for your children, so you may wish for some adult contact with people who understand what you are going through. By reading mom blogs, and even writing your own, you can use it as an outlet for any issues and frustrations you may have as a mom.

There are literally hundreds of mom blogs out there on the internet. Some are better than others, but you can find them by doing a quick search on the internet. You can find a few that you like, and most bloggers update every day. This will give you a great outlet to read about other moms going through things that are similar to your life.

If you enjoy writing, you may want to think about writing your own blog. Blogs are easy to set up and can be easy to write, if that is something you are interested in.

Mom blogs are a great way to connect to other moms when you are the stay-at-home parent. They can be funny and sweet, and help you pass some time between household and mom duties.

The social media is an excellent way to brighten up the day for stay at home moms. Just because a mother spends a lot of time home with the kids or working from home does not mean she has to go without a social life. There are many websites where she can meet other parents, share interests, get helpful advice, or just say hello to other adults.

A search engine search is a good way for a mom to expand her social scene. She can find other people with like interests just by putting in a search term or two of a relevant subject. For instance, if she would like to connect with other stay at home moms, she could find forums and groups by simply punching in “stay at home moms” If she has a hobby such as stamp collecting or video games the same thing applies.

There are literally hundreds of places a stay at home mom can go to get tips and answers to questions also. Fortunately the internet keeps growing with friendly people who are also looking to socialize. Sometimes just reading a kind e-mail from another person is enough to brighten up a person’s day!
